![]() Why are Detroit Lions tickets more expensive the the Red wings? The Detroit Lions suck! They have never won a game this season. There tickets 120 dollars. I just got 13th row from the Glass seats for a Redwings game for 80 dollar a ticket. I can't figure out why NFL tickets cost more the NHL tickets. supply and demand. there are only 8 lions games per year versus many more red wings. |

Detroit Lions Tickets - The Lions Make Early Splash In Free AgencyAfter finishing with an atrocious 0-16 record in 2008 and a slight improvement last season, the Detroit Lions continue to mend their roster and reputation. In the first day of free agency, the Lions were among the busiest of franchises, inking wide receiver Nate Burleson to a five-year deal to start opposite stud wideout Calvin Johnson and landing Kyle Vanden Bosch as well to bolster their defensive line. The Lions don't seem to be done just yet, however, as they are reportedly close to a trade that will bring Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Corey Williams to the Lions. With the second overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, the Lions are also in good position to take Ndamukong Suh, whose multifaceted skill set could fit perfectly with Williams. With talented young players on offense in Calvin Johnson and Mathew Stafford, the Lions could just be putting themselves into position to get out of the basement in the NFC North. Even coming off a down year in 2009, Kyle Vanden Bosch is still a significant talent at defensive end that is an immediate upgrade on their defensive front. Vanden Bosch has put up 12 or more sacks twice in his career with the Titans, though he had just three a season ago. At age 31, Vanden Bosch will have significant motivation to prove that he is still among the elite pass rushers in the league and seems to be a good fit with the revamping Lions. The other big signing, Nate Burleson, also should have an immediate impact for the 2010 season. With the Lions already having their number one receiver in the talented Calvin Johnson, Burleson will be a nice possession receiver to play on the other side of the field. On a struggling Seahawks offense a year ago, Burleson still posted a solid 63 catches and 812 receiving yards, even without a big-time number one wide receiver playing alongside him. With Johnson also on the roster, however, Burleson is in prime position to make an even bigger impact heading into 2010 on a team with a young and improving quarterback in Mathew Stafford. With an exciting core of young and explosive offensive talent, Detroit Lions tickets appear to be a commodity for the first time in several years. Despite starting a rookie in Stafford for much of the season in 2009, the Lions still improved statistically across the board in terms of their passing game from 2008. The improved passing attack also helped the rushing game improve from being one of the worst in the league in 2008. Though there are still considerable question marks in the backfield and on the offensive line, the Lions seem to be doing an efficient job at filling in some of the holes that they had in their roster, of which there are still plenty. The Lions are now in good position to pick up a running back and some offensive line help in the upcoming draft, which could nicely complement the pieces they have already picked up in free agency. With Ndamukong Suh potentially still available at the number two spot in the draft this April, the Lions are in a good position for the first time in a while. Last season they chose Mathew Stafford with the number one pick – a selection that so far looks pretty solid. Even with a poor offensive line and plenty of talent issues, Stafford was a sparkplug for the Lions and proved capable of getting the ball downfield to Johnson. This time in the draft, the Lions can either trade down a few picks and take a back like C.J. Spiller out of Clemson, who is widely touted as the best back in the draft class, or they can continue to bolster their improving defensive line with a potential stud in Ndamukong Suh. The Lions are certainly not in a position to challenge the heavily talented Vikings or Packers atop the NFC North standings, but they are finding a few nice pieces to help their cause as they prepare for the 2010 season. Don't look now, but it appears the Lions might be headed in the right direction. About the Author StubHub has sponsored this article, which was written by David James.
